Wheelie
LOL, that forum is hilarious, I read all 5 pages. Its amazing how stupid and ignorant some poeple are. I'm only 23 and I wouldn't dare run my mouth even after riding 3 years...period. I don't know where people come off. Good looks on those videos, they can really sober people up to the reality of what happens when **** goes wrong, I know they work for me. Dantypes, the beater bike is a great idea, I used to have a GSXF 750, steel frame and not too powerful, and that was a great bike to just take on the street and practice whatever I wanted. Luckily I was using it when I wheelied into my neighbors tree and ended up upside down at with my back against the tree and the bike sitting on my chest. It was more funny than painful but I cringe to think if that had been my 900rr. Just repsect the power these machines have and understand that an ACCIDENT can happen any time, wheelies are just upping the chances. Good luck and stay off the streets until you got a good feel for it. Be good
Right on man, at least you come of as someone willing to listen and learn to advice others will give. You can try reading through the how to wheelie article that was posted on that thread and see if you could apply those tips in your quest for those one wheeled wonders. in my opinion though...ultimately its what ever way you feel comfy with... Ill tell you how I learned, I had a friend who could rock sooooooome wheelies and i told him Ive been trying, I could pop the tire up but it would only be maybe 8 inches off the ground and id start ****ting myself cause it felt high, anyway he would ride beside me and watch and Id keep trying....HIGHER hed say...MORE GAS hed say...DUDE DONT WORRY YOU GOT PLENTY MORE TO GO hed yell till finally I put that badboy up and freaked out cause I felt like I was looping it over I chopped the gas and slammed it down...DUDE THATS RIGHT WHERE YOU WANNA BE!!! he was laughing... I looked at him and was like are you fu--ing CRAZY... he just kept laughing and was like no worry youll get used to it. Eventually I got to the point where I couldnt keep the front down every time I left a stop light so i stretched my bike before I wrecked it....LOL
