i have a 99 cbr 900 rr and running a 180-55-17 on the rear does anyone know how big of a tire i can put on the rear and not rub?

180 is about the biggest you can fit. If you go with a 190, you will have some handlig problem.

I put a 190 on my 94 and it handles very well. I did change my rear wheel to a three spoke from a 2001 cbr929 to compensate for the extra width. Johnny

My bike 97 is still in shop and I noticed the rear is 190 / 50 / 17. What do you mean my rub?

i run a 190 on my 95 and i have no handling problems and it doesn't scrub
