Default Should I get this 900rr?

Hello Riders,
I am planning to buy a 1999 Honda Cbr 900rr on Monday. This will be my first ever liter bike. I had CBR f3 as my first bike and had it for 6 months. I took good care of that and sold it last week. Plus, I never crashed or wrecked the bike just because prior to owning F3, I use to ride my uncle's 70cc and 125cc street bikes in my country since I was 15 and I am 22 now. I realized that I needed more low end torque for street riding so i am thinking of buying that 900rr. Let me know if its a good deal. Also, what kind of gains would be i looking for compare with the f3?

Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks

Definitely think it's a good deal. Good mileage, and looks to be taken care of.

Just picked up my 98' 900RR today. I'm a new rider, and like the feel of the bike. I think you'd be very happy with it.

Seems like a good price, He says 16K put the miles he put on it. How many miles is that total? That is a stock exhaust with a D&D slip on muffler, I like the 636 front end but the springs may be a little light for the 900RR chasis. If you look closely at the pics it has no front fender which will throw debris into the radiator, And he has zip ties on the forks and they are at the bottom of the tubes. Which also tells me the springs are too light, New springs and having a shop install them will probably run you 3-400 bucks. Also the upper fairing mounts are not standard, they are not in the correct location up by the windshield. I bought my 99 RR new and haven't had any problems with it after 22K miles and two good crashes, If you know anyone who owns or has owned a 900RR I would have them look at the bike with you just to be sure. I am 700 miles away or would offer to look at it with you. I took a closer look at the pics, The bike has no windshield stay for whatever reason and that is why the cowl mounts have been moved. In the first pic you can see the aluminum windshield stay and in the 5th pic it is not there, Look the bike over closely or take it to a shop

When you test ride it, if you can, take it somewhere where there's a good straightaway. Open it up in 1st and 2nd to make sure it doesn't "jump" in 2nd. They are famous for 2nd gear problems if they are abused. Oh and I don't think that's a "full" system or it would have springs securing can to midpipe not the factory 3 bolts. Looks to be a slipon.
