Does anyone know if I can put a newer model fairing on my bike without too much modifications?

Did the heat fins make that big a difference to how long its lasting?
I need to get a new one also and wondered if the fins were really just for looks.

Yeah the fins are actually aluminum so that plus the fact that even the back of it it cased in aluminum helps to dissipate heat directly into the subframe seems to be doing great. I have already put around 400 miles on it and I am constantly checking it for signs of overheating and so far so good. I just figired for $25 shipped even if it only lasts a year I could upgrade to a R1 reg later and get my moneys worth. I will let you guys know if it takes a s***.
