Default Oil Leak from Pulser Cover

I put 100 miles on my bike today and found an oil leak. There appears to be the slightest hairline crack in the Pulser Cover.
I have the cover that came off my old engine and just have a few questions.
Can I use my old cover with the old pickup or should I swap them out?
Can I use rtv for the whole cover surface to help stop any further leaks?
I first discovered the leak because my rear brake turned to soggy crap. Can I clean the oil off and the pads or do I need to go new?
Brian.

I had the same issue without the crack, but if you have a replacment then your good. I actually reused my original gasket after cleaning it with wax and greese remover and then used Three Bong Liquid gasket on both sides of it to ensure total seal. Works perfectly after 300 miles. I used the same method on the oil pan and T. Chain cover with new gaskets and there isn't even oil sweat. You definietely need to replace the pads, once oil touches those it is impossible to ever get them cean and all you will do is contaminate your rotors. Good luck and don't ride again until you know all leaks are resolved. Good luck

I replaced the cover and so far so good, no oil leaks anywhere.
I'll get on replacing the rear pads as soon as I can find a set.
It sucks to hit the rear brakes and no ones home.
I read a whole lot more posts than I respond to and I learn alot from this community.
Thanks.
Brian
