Hey guys, just bought a 94 yesterday and love it. Bought it asa stunt bike which I am slowly converting to street again, most likely going naked since I don't have the cash to put forth for new fairings and such and I'll post pics soon (you'll most likely laugh for now). Hope to meet some new people and learn a lot from you guys so to start off... question:

I tried searching but couldn't pin-point a thread for the 900, but the front sprocket is -1 and rear is +14 (stunt bike remember). I'm planning on keeping the -1 and doing a +2 in the rear (45 teeth if I'm not mistaken). Just wondering what kind of chain I need: 525 or 520? Bike is WAY too peppy with the +14, need to stretch the gears out a little more.

Thanks,

Adam

The pitch (size) of the chain depends on the sprockets. What ever sprockets you get you will need a chain to match. I would get a 520 kit -1.
It's a nice combo.
And yes, you will need to change the sprockets at the same time as the chain.......an old sprocket will ruin a new chain in NO time and vise-verse.
www.kneedraggers.com sells a "Quick Acceleration" kit that comes with the 520 chain, -1 sprocket for front and an aluminum rear at the stock count......I had it on my 99 and it was very nice.

Welcome and lets see some pics when you are done!!

Welcome to the forums mott. geez a +14 , thing must look like a pizza pan. I've got (on my 93) the RK quick accel gold 520 kit and I love it. Its a -1/+5 which gives me a 15-45 not sure about a 94 though. Can't wait to see some pics man.
