Default need help with chain and sprocket set

i am looking into replacing the chain and sprockets on my bike before spring time so she's ready to go.

now the problem i have is that my bike got a single swing arm conversion on it from a vfr i believe, and i'm not exactly sure about what to buy.

do i need the rear sprocket for the vfr swingarm, and the front sprocket for a 900rr? or do i get both the front and rear for either the 900 or the vfr? also, my chain is kinda thick, is that normal too?

any input is great thanx.

You need the front sprocket from a 900 and the rear from the vfr. I don't know what year CBR you have but according to ronayers.com the front sprocket for a 98 is the same as the 99 and 02-04 600RR.

As far as thickness, if you want light for the track get a 520 pitch chain and sprockets. If you are more concerned with longevity for street, then the 525 stock pitch is fine.

as he said above. dunno what length the singarm puts your sprocket at, stanadard cbr is 108 link chain. would be worth lookin into what length the vfr takes.

anybody else have an idea?

also how many teeth is the front sprocket supposed to be? and what is it when people say the go up or down 1 tooth in the front and/or rear? it is supposed to make the acceleration better or worse depending if i go up or down a tooth.
