my friend got it at 418LBS with 1/4 to 1/2 tank gas. to it is about the same mabey a little less im going to check it my self just have not had time yet. F2 stock are about 420 dry and about 440 with a full tank.
the frame and swing arm seem to take that power fine. The bike has been this way since 95. only thing im worried about is the 170 back tire hooking up. LOL. My friend who did his got a engine from the junkyard. he is a pro welder so it was not that hard. hardest thing we still have not fig out so far is how to get a fan in there for the rad. no room the engine is right up on the rad. and the out side there not much room or the tire will hit it. I have a little area i can get on but cant find a fan that is 6inch. Any ideas?

I have heard that doing the engine swap makes the bike ride extremely rough, is there any truth in this??? I am planning on doing the same thing to my F2 but i am just wondering about the electrical system. will the ignition system need to be changed out with the engine or will the 600 cdi, rectifier/regulator, pulse generator and coils all work fine with the 900?
the bike virbrates a bit if that what you mean by bike ride rough, but the bike seems to ride great. it ride alot like my friends 900RR but it does not dive in to the corrner take turns like my f2 but that becuase of the 17 front rim. just have to watch the power because there is more there. As for electrical I believe it all of a 900 but the ignition switch.
the hardest thing about the swap is the air box. you have to leave the top off, glue the air filter in, and cut and shortend the bottum of the air box. the guy that did my use the bottom of the air box of a 900RR.
