The fuel will be still the same for me if I'm really pushing my bike. I will lose water from my body.

Really pushing the bike will bring me down to around 150.

Actually, funny story; when I first bought the bike the fuel selector was broken off, I thought I had the positions figured out, and I was riding home alone with 170 miles on the odo. The bike started to sputter so I switched the lever, and then it just died. Took 2 liters of water to push 3/4 of a mile.

Flat sided carbs suck fuel. They are for racing not fuel economy.
I go 180 miles before going on reserve and I have gone 22 miles on reserve before I chickened out and filled it up. 94 with stage 1 kit, BMI filter and full Yosh system.
I think 40+ MPG is pretty awsome for a race bike. My buddy at work has a Honda scooter. It gets 60+, but we get home at the same time after work, and I live 22 miles further away than he does...

Hey People
I picked up my 93 900RR for $1200. It has a Yosh pipe and a K&N on itwith a Stage 1 Jet Kit.
I make the point of filling up at 100-120 miles. I've gone as far as 130 miles before switching to reserve. But with the gas prices today the 100 mile mark only takes aroung $5 in Texas, so 40 MPG is my guess... unless Im on the throttle.
Most of the milage depends on your riding style, if you think cruising is sitting at 6k in 2nd gear so you can hear your exhaust you will get ****ty milage. I shift my bike like I would my Mustang, Sort of low in the RPM BandI dont rev hard unless I wanna leave the idiot next to me reving his engine.
So Ive seen about 40 MPG on mine.

I took a ride today 180 miles total. At 125 I stopped for gas it took 2.6 gallons. I have read the 99 cbr900rr holds 4.8 gallons. If that holds true I put around 125 on a lil over two gallons of gas. Average speed on the ohio turnpike was 75 6 th gear 5,000 rpms. Now my bike has stock jets. A D& D slip on and a k& n filters. Does this seem right ? Numbers don't lie I guess. By the way 93 octane is 4.00 a gallon
