Miles Per Gallon on 900RR
I was wondering how much mpg do you all get on your 900rr's.
On full tank I am only getting 130miles max (my bikes stalls and I have to switch to reserve). That's putting about 3-3.5 gallons on fuel everytime I fill up.
I'd say I get anywhere from 33-38 mpg on my 99CBR900rr. Pretty much stock except the exhaust.

I average about 140 to 150 before switching to reserve on my 97 900RR. By the time I fill it up it works out to 40 to 42 mpg. The mileage has been very consistent from mid May through December. My daily commute is 24 miles each way, mostly highway speeds 45 - 55 mph. However, the last 4 miles in the morning are usually 100+ once I get into Mexico. (No policia out at 6:00 AM). The 15 - 45 minute wait at US Customs on the trip home will cause the mileage to vary slightly.

I have a 96 900rr with about 18000 miles on it now and I usually have to switch my reserve on between 120-130 miles. My bike has a stage 1 jet, two brothers full stainless with carbon can, sprockets have been swapped, and a bunch of alterations to the engine and transmission (I believe it had something to do with shortening the crank or something). Thats riding her pretty hard on half miles on the freeway and half on regular roads.

Depending on where I ride I get anywhere from 160 - 200 miles a tank before going to the reserve. City riding usually in the 160-180 range depending on how I ride. If I'm out on a long ride I've gone 206 from full tank to reserve. Mine's a 95. I usually try to fill up at around 160 miles.

My bike has km readings.. I know this much.. Riding at above 200 for the better part of my journey to our breakfast hangout and back I fill up before leaving and dont hit reserve on the way home. The same trip on my FZ had me filling up before I left and again before going back, and I hit reserve both times. Admittedly the little bike was running at redline the whole way, but I save about $8 every sunday morning. In fact I would hazzard a guess I get better mileage than I do on my XJR400R with the big old blade...Its shockingly economical..
