I need some help info.
Hey guy's and Gal's, I bought CBR 900rr 96 and running through it to get her on the road, I have done the basics valve adjustment, carb cleaned, sync'd etc...Now I am moving on to the suspension. Here is where I need a little assistance.
on the rebound adjuster there is a sticker that indicates 10, s for soft and H for hard. Now most forks that I have worked with, when they show a 10 that means 10 clicks or turns, well I have looked at the oem manual and there is no information about the 10 clicks or 10 turns not sure what it could mean. because when I adjust my rebound to set it before I open it up "I only get 2 1/2 turns" Now on most forks that I have worked on more modern bike's they click, because they have a little ball bearing in the cap and some you only get turns.
So if one of you who who have a cbr 900rr 96 could go to your bike and count the turns or clicks you get from S to H, I would really appreciate it... Don't forget to put it back to your original settings. This information will tell me what I may have to do to fix the cap rebound adjuster.....
I don't know if anyone has disassembled it or not and the previous owner has no knowledge before he got the bike
