Both lamps should light up under low beam and high beam. Is your harness acting up or something, has she only got one eye when you press her buttons? lol

Its kind of a long story but here goes:

Well, ages ago it wasn't chargin properly - way too low, never exceeded 12.5 volts at any RPM range. Found the culprit and it was a burnt RR. What a suprise.... I replaced it with a suzuki unit b/c their much better constructed and simple to mount and rewire.

Only problem was, the RR had burnt out way before I cought it and took the stator with it. Again, no suprise there. I recently replaced the stator a few days ago. OK, so new stator and RR. Here's the part where I scratch my head.

On idle we're lookin at 13-13.5 V of charge. As soon as the RPM rises, the volts drop dramatically. At 4-5k RPM its lower that 12V if I've got both headlights plugged in. Its just plain bass ackwards. Charges high on idle and low at 5k RPM. Thats my charging issue in a nutshell.

The battery is about 4-6 months old. I bought a nice one this time, a sealed unit. I don't know whats goin on with it, gonna have to do some diggin. With the accident.....never found the dumb broad, just gonna lick my wounds and get over it. I just moved out for more schooling so now I'm in a different city. Oh well, crap happens, thanks for the concern tho

Im wondering if its the Zook rectifier you put in, the stator puts out an AC current that the rectifier then converts to DC but maybe RRs stator puts out a different amps load than theZooks, or maybe the rectifier was wired wrong
