how hot are you getting

RE: how hot are you getting
we have the same problem here in Venezuela. heavy traffic, slow riding in the city and lights. i hate seeing mine by the H mark. had bad experinces in the past. i made a double fan assy to fit mine, helps a lot. i also found and lost a link about a double thickness radiator, some racing style rad, could really do with that as well. mind you, the distance from the rad to the downpipes is not a lot so that may also go aginst rising temps.

mine used to do the same thing to the point where she cut out. I hard wired my fan to a switch so i could control when i came on. that helped alot but did not solve it. I had to take the thermostat out and now she runs fine. Take forever to heat up though.. oh well.

In stop and go traffic the temperature needle will go a bit past the middle point toward the Hot side.
I don't know how hot it is, but I do know the radiator fins...at least some of them are damaged and pushed in.
That could affect cooling on my bike. It doesn't seem to be too much of a problem now, but I always try to avoid traffic so I don't face overheating.
