Hey guys i have a question? I have 1997 CbR 900RR i was just wondering how hard it is to change out the shaft for the shifter on the gear shifter. The bike was wrecked i was wondering if its worth just puttin a motor in it i was gunna do all the work to myself.....

you might want to do some homework before you handle something like that you would have to tear into the bottom end and if you are not familiar with what you are doing you are going to come into some major problems in the tranny, so you may want to think long and hard it would be easier for you to put another engine in it then change that damb shaft and that sucks, because it is not hard but there is a lot of important little pieces in there and if not done just right then we have a problem like parts making big holes in places where there arent supposed to be holes
