As you know im rebuilding my bike, my front rim seems to have a flat spot in it. So i got a new rim Stamped 94, from reading on the forums it seems thier interchangeable, WRONG WTF??? the rim stamped 94 wont take my speedo!!!! The rim on my 93 CBR is stamped 92 and on the left side hub is larger and takes a speedo hook up, so i got another rim on the way that is off a 94 bike for sure, will this one work? im lost this dam speedo ****, can anyone help out here?

 

93-94 were the only models with the cable hook-up speed sensor. Where exactly is this date stamp? I don't remember ever seeing it on mine and I've been all up in it hundreds of times--maybe I'm just forgetting...

Have you measured the first wheel you got? Is it a 17" F3 wheel?

Don't be mad--I've done dumber things--but you checked both sides of that wheel right? One side has the opening and the other does not...

If you're in the US, the date stamp shouldn't be related to the model year--only the date of manufacture. So a 16" front wheel with a stamp of '94' and no opening for the sensor has to be for a '95 model. Honda started building and selling '93 models in early 1992--there's no official US version '92 900RR.

 

You must be Right, i must have a very earily model CBR, The Date stamp is inside one of the 5 spokes, on my model [93] its on the left side, [94] stamped one its on the right side. And it is A 16" wheel, i would like to keep it 16 Thankx forf your help, hopefully the other rim i got the guy could refund me, because i think its stamped 94 Aswell... DOH any one wanna buy some rims?

yeah, no, I check my searches daily and saw the wheel yesterday. The description was spot on to what you said here, so...

Perhaps I spend too much time on ebay...
