Default Heat issue

I have a 99 900rr and have a problem with the frame getting really hot, its mainly on the left side under the gas tank where my knee would touch (well that whole area of thee frame), I guess its from the Radiator blowing the hot air through there, But it heats the fraim up and it gets really hot to were i cant wear shorts when im riding (not that i would anyways) with out burning my leg, but when i have pants on my leg just gets really hot and sweaty, My temp gauge reads fine and the fan turns on at the right temp but i was wondering if anyone else has this problem?

My 99 Does The Same Thing. I Don't Know If It Gets As Hot As Yours, But It Definitly Is Felt Through My Jeans. My Buddy Has A 2002 600F4i That Does The Same Thing, And His Gets Really Hot.

My frame gets hot too but I always wear a full leather suit so it's not a problem.

And be honest, you do wear shorts when riding.

Maybe your bike is trying to tell you to stop?

Mine does it as well, I can feel the heat pretty much on my whole left leg from my knee down. I guess it is normal for our hondas?

That's good to hear tutman, I'm just worried for a fellow rider and 900rr owner

I did put my hand on the frame of my bike after a long ride and while it was hot it wasn't "burn your hand hot"

i have a 92 900, and yes i admit to wearing shorts when riding, so i definantly notice that the frame gets mighty hot.
might have something to do with the engine being right next to it maybe?
