Default Handle Grip adhesive

What kind of adhesive do you guys use to put on your hanlegrips? Or do you use any at all. I just recently changed my clip ons and rather than re-use the old ones I just bought some new ones. In the book it said to use adhesive when you put them on. It does'nt specify what kind so I wasn't sure.

I could be wrong on this one but I just changed my grips about a week ago and didn't use any adhesive. It was a bear just to get them on I can't imagine with adhesive, unless it acts as a lubricant before it sets up. Later a buddy said he boiled his and made it easier but I've never done that. My exp. is no adhesive and they turned out fine, no slippin whatsoever.

I didn't use any when I did mine either, Just a little soapy water and slid them on, then it dried and they were good to go.

Cool, thanks guys. I'll just probably go without adhesive and use a little soapy water then. Thanks again.

If you want to I use golf grip tape. itis sticky on one side and when you wet it it makes the grips stick.

Well I put the grips on today. I used soapy water as suggested by stynkmonkey. It worked great. They slid on easy and once dry don't move at all so i'm satisfiedwith it.I would recomend this method to anyone. Not neccesarily over others but its the oneI used and worked great.
