Gear engagement from standstill
I noticed that my CBR kind of clunks in gear when I shift into first from a standstill. I am concerned that my clutch cable is out of adjustment but am not sure if this is just a trait of the bike. Gear changes while moving seem fine (hard to tell if there is a problem there anyway) but, thought I would ask.

your clutch lever is adjustedin too far. loosen the adjuster locknuton the handlebar and turn the adjust out about 1/2 turn, then retighten the locknut. you should be good to go. p.s. if the adjustment on the handlebar is already out all the way you will have to adjust it on the other end.
Every bike clunks a certain amount. It's the transmission clunking a little as well as pulling the slack out of the chain, etc. It's normal unless it's JUMPING forward when you engage 1st.
