Fuel Pump Question
I know that the 93 to 95 900RR came with an electric fule pump. Did the 96 to 99 900RR also come with an electric fuel pump? If so, than mine is missing.
I am putting together a 1997 900RR, that I purchased in pieces.

i have a 95, and it came with an aftermarket electric fuel pump. the pump started leaking around the seams, so i replaced it with a universal electric fuel pump from autozone ($15) that was metal instead of plastic. i tried a pump from a 93, and it didn't work, as well as from a 600, and it too didn't work. i could've just removed the pump and left it for a gravity feed, but the pump i purchased turned out to work great. that was a few thousand miles ago, and it's still working fine. i'm sure you can go the same route, just plug the fuel lines in, mount it to the frame out of the way of the petcock and tank, and you should be fine. make sure you get a 12V fuel pump with a metal casing. i think mine ranges from 4-7 psi, enough to pump but not enough to blow anything. the only downfall is cutting the stock wire harness to splice in the new pump. but if yours was originally gravity fed, then you'll have to splice into something else that's only on when the key is turned.
