Default Front wheel replacement with newer model

Does anyone know if a 1998 OEM front rim and wheel will fit a 1994 fork? I see the specs are the same for the rim and wheel but how about the hub, axel? How does one go about researching questions like this? Is there a source available? Thanks, Jim

NO, I believe the 98 wheels a just a bit wider than the earlier forks can take.

If your looking to get rid of your '94 front wheel I'm interested. I've been looking for one, I have a wheel from a later model on mine,I think '95-'97. Bassically with the newer model wheels, they won't fit the forks with the speedo gear on them, so you lose your speedometer & odemeter, which I'm looking to get back.
