The front wheel on my F3 is kinda dinged up. The tire still holds air but I would like to replace it anyway. Only problem is the OEM wheel is way to expensive for me to purchase. I can't see justification in buying one wheel for $800 anyway. That's outrageous.

The size of the front wheel is 3.5x17in. Will any motorcycle wheel this size fit? I just don't want to have a problem putting the brakes back on or anything like that.

Has anyone ever put on a wheel that wasn't OEM and had it work just fine with no modifications? Any help on what wheel and where to purchase one would be greatly appreciated.

This isn't really an "off topic" discussion. CS deleted the first one already, probably because there is an F3 section for stuff like this.

But no, you can't just use any 3.5" wide 17. Bikes have different axles as well as rotor mounts and stuff.
Your best bet would be to keep an eye on craigslist/ebay for a used wheel or maybe have your old one repaired and repainted/powder coated.
I don't know how bad your wheel is, but my front wheel is a bit chipped up too. I don't worry too much about them unless they're bent.
