Extending my mirrors
Sounds like it may work. I have one of them breadboards your talking about, will have to tell the missus we got burgled and alls they took was the board. If done decent they could then be wrapped in carbon fiber or something.
What do people think of these. I'm new to biking so will i get laughed at.

Bob it depends what you want - only you can decide, but for me
1 A bar end mirror is too small to see anything
2 The vibration would make it hard to see much at all
3 A mirror that turns with the steering - well, no thanks.
For me, I'd extend your original mirrors, it's worth the effort - before I changed mine, all I could see was my shoulders, but after the mod I can see clearly now right up until they are next to me on the road..................
It's all about what YOU want................
And whether an hour's worth of cutting up a breadboard is worth $24.......LOL
(those e-Bay items do look nice tho')

ya shadow, the cnc' d ones do look nice, at least the ones done in colors, but the black one I linked really isn't my taste.. it's looks to rubbery.

Thanks guys for your time. Late at night i start thinking of ways to extend my mirrors and i thinking this. If i cut the mirrors i have at the straight part of the stem then added a piece of threaded bar or some sort of slotted fitting in between i could have the bar any lenght i chose and not have to go with the manufactoror's size. Problem is these bikes are racing machines and to be used by riders clad in tight leather suit's. Well i'm already xxl then add all my padded shoulders and under garments and you can't see anything.. I do my shoulder checks but like to know what's within 75m of me all around.
