RE: Ebay Plastics / Fairings
One more question on this... what years are the fitment the same? like 95-97, then like 97-? So how does that work? Are the plastics from year to year interchangable? Or will there be mounting problems if I get outside the year 96.
Thanks.
Sorry for babbling.
Thanks again.
Sorry for continuing my babbling....
I should go now.
Thanks.
again, and again.

RE: Ebay Plastics / Fairings
They'll all fit but you would need a different upper fairing stay, mirror stay, headlight and rear seat if you use '98-'99 parts. I never used these on a 900rr but I did put a set on an '05 600RR. I will NEVER do it again. It was a pain in the @$$ and some ofthe parts just would not fit right no matter how much tweaking I did. For instance the upper filler panels (ram air covers) just wouldn't mate up to both the gas tank cover and the upper so there were these little gaps that really bothered me. Also, there were no mounting points for the headlight,I had to make them. Plus, the plastic is thinner than factory so anywhere you use the factory shouldered bolts the fairings will rattle around if you don't put some nylon washers on.
If you do choose to go this route post your experience on here. I've been curious if it was just the model I dealt with or if all of that plastic is like that.
Here is a pic of the part that wouldn't fit right. I know it looks like no big deal but it really bugged me. This wasn't the only part that wouldn't fit propperly at first, I had to customize almost everything....... This is just the only piece I coldn't get to look okay no matter what I did.

RE: Ebay Plastics / Fairings
If you look around on there a little more you might be able to find something better. I found an aftermarket front that had all mounting tabs and was plastic for a little over $100 on there. But if you are good with body work these would work for you. Otherwise I would look for something different.

RE: Ebay Plastics / Fairings
i put a set on my 93 900rr the set was for 94-97 asian modles so i had to purchase an upper w/mounting tabs for the headlight.
i bought from the same exact dealer in your link. i still have a little tweeking to do but some of the gaps like around the rear seat are fairly large over all i think that the bike looks great however the bottom of the fairings where they meet the v-fairing don't line up(i'm still working on that, but for the $ not bad. it is a bit of work though.
