Default 900 with 929/954 fairings?

I know all year 900 fairings can easily fit with different stays, but what about fairings from a 929 or 954 or even the newer 1000rr models? How difficult would it be to mount those fairings onto a 900? Are the bolt holes really that far off? Around my area I can get 929/954 fairings alot cheaper than the 98-99 900 fairings I want and they look just as good if not better. Any info appreciated before I go buy a set and start modding the stuff.

i don't think that they will fit. i think that you can mount 93-97 i don't think that 98 & up won't line up without a lot of fabrication.
i just converted my 93 to 97 i was told that 98-up would not fit.

Anything will work with some mod's. I myself have a 03 R1 tail section with both R1 seats. Took some work but looks killer. I am looking into doing a f4I upper fairing also(well if I don't sell it first).
