Default Digital Speedo on a 94 900

I'm interested in swapping my old speedo to a new speedo with a digital readout. The problem is that mine, 94 900, reads from the front sprocket. Has anyone made this modification and if so was it successful? I cant hardly see the darn thing at night. I wear glasses so when I look down, I'm looking under my glasses. I need a BIG sign to blink that says SLOW DOWN!

You will need a 96-99 digital speedo set up. They are not an LCD display, but they are picked up off the counter shaft. THEN you have to try and fit a 929/954 cluster and make it work.
I asked around a lot when I had a 99 900RR and never did really get an answer.

Good luck.

Sime has modded a F4i digital guage on his 900.

You will need the speed sensor from a 96 900RR, a speedo healer, and a F4i guage cluster. But it can be done and looks sweet!
