Clutch gone, motor blown?.. help..
I just changed my clutch last week. open it up, changed the friction dics (pre soaked for a day), torqued spring bolts to 9ft-lbs.I rode250 milesthis weekend and we were riding hard. Left to ride today, this morning and the clutch was slipping again. got 10 miles away, racing throught the country and i stared hearing a clickin underneath me. it lasted about 10-15seconds an dthen the bike died!!!!
now it wont even turn over. Tried push starting it and the back wheel just locks up. it just clicks when i press the start button.
What do you think it is?
My guys think the motor is shot! i think that the spring bolts in the clutch may have fallen out! i'll check tomorrow. rip it apart.

well there isn't much anyone can tell you. I don't recall my torque specs from my bike but 9 FT-LBS seems kind of low. You just gotta bite the bullet and pull the cover again and see whats worked its way loose. If the clutch slipped prior to failure that tells me that you lost one or more of the spring loaded bolts that hold the plates. When motors lock its never a good idea to just try and force it to start, obviously something major happened. I hate to ask a dumb question here, but when you noticed your clutch slipping in the morning why didn't you stop riding? If its new it should never slip. Good luck
