Default clutch cable problem.. (pic)

Does any of you guys have this problem??The clutch cable of my 97rr will hit the speedo each time I turn the handle to right. I'm not very sure because it appears to be like that since I bought her but it is f"kin annoying.

The meter had been pushed far behind but still the same. Could it be the cable is not a stock one?? The wiring tape is just a precaution to reduce the friction between the cable and the meter.

No, it's too long. It looks like the adjuster nut is way too far out. Hang on, I'll take a picture of mine for comparison.

Dude! How could I not notice, your cable is routed the wrong way! It should be down on the left, inside the left fork tube and then 'over' the bottom triple clamp as it goes under the frame and to the right side. Dude!

The mechanic had tried the way as yours but it just didn't get right and still touching... Definately its not a stock since the front metal part of the cable is missing..

What to do man?? If I'm going to bend it inside the left fork surely the clutch won't work or will break..

New cables are very cheap. $18.23 from these Carolina guys, part number 22870-MAS-000for a '97. What year is your bike again?

The bike is 97 model man.. Its not easy to get parts over here especially for older model..

I'm not sure if the new parts will come with the front metal... That is the part that make the cable bend inside right?

Yes, it comes with the metal part. I'll be happy to buy one for you and ship it over!
