Default Clear Tail modification (ebay one from china)

I got my 93-95 clear LED taillight in the other day. Looks great, except for the upper 1/2 doesn't light up when brakes on like the OEM one did with bulbs in it. Now keep in mind I am not using the turn signal feature in this LED tail light.
I took it apart carefully, Went to autozone and got 2 4" Red LED stripes.
Now this light already came wired to plug into 1 of the 1157 sockets. It left the other one empty. I smashed a 1157 bulb and exposed the 4 wires in it. 2 ground, 1 for running lights, 1 for brake light. Found which one was for brake light and removed the other wire leaving me 3 wires. (2 ground, 1 brake) Twisted the grounds together and sodered a wire to it, shrink wraped it all way down in bulb. sodered wire to brake wire and shrinked wrapped it also. Filled socket with silicone and let dry. Installed stripes into light, checked them to make sure they worked. Sealed back up lens. sodered socket to my wires and pluged it into the xtra socket for plug and play. Here's the pics.

Final look with brakes Applied. Doesn't apper brighter then first pic, but with brakes on the lower 1/2 is alot brighter.

Pics of bulb socket I made didn't turn out good. If you want to see it let me know and I'll make another one.
