Default China Clear Indicators

Looks like China is making clear front indicators for our f2's now, I just ordered a pair so I thought I would share.

I'll update when they arrive in a couple of weeks.

Indicators arrived today, the fit is terrible compared to the snug fitting OEM's.... and they where a pita to get on.

Not sure If I'm going to keep them on yet....the gaps look huge.

I have OEM fairings but yeah I'm guessing they would fit the chinese fairings better.

Oh man, don't be too sure about that!! The chinese fairings have molding inconsistencies all over the place!!
I've got a Hong Kong fairing set (for street) on my bike, and the OEM signal lenses/housings, and I was very unhappy with the gap around the unit on one side, after adjusting is as good as was possible... but then, I put the other side on!! It made the first one look perfect by comparison, which it is FAR FROM!! The gaps on the second one, for the right side, I think, are huge and unsightly, I've just gotten used to them, and most people haven't actually noticed until I point it out, but any "bike folks" would find it easily in a look-over.

Bottom line: you never know what you are going to kit when you order ANY molded plastic items from China!! That is frustrating, but what can you do?

Yeah I thought it would take 10 minutes to put them on before I go for a ride but half an hour later I'm still fiddling with them trying to get them to look right lol.
I have bought a few windscreens from china that fit pretty well and I'm happy with, but I did buy a front fender that I binned quickly after because it kept catching the tire during corners, it was just to flexible.

So yeah hit and miss with the plastics but at least the price is right.

what price? IMO useless junk is wort nothing. Maybe I'm just getting old but I'd rather pay a fair amount extra of an OEM part I can throw in and know will last than buy ill-fitting crap that fails right away and have to replace again... I was actually looking for clear front glasses but having seen what they look like, no more. I think the yellows look way better.

You can get them from clear alternatives for $25 mattson, but postage would cost $30+

yes, that's why we can't have anything nice... We call it the "backwoods plus" freely translated... group buys almost the only option to get anything at a decent price... But as I said, don't actually want them anymore now that I saw how they look like on a black fairing. On white they could blend right in, from black they scream even harder that the oranges...

Here's a page of clear/smoked lenses for Honda - may be good, maybe not.
Cheap enough to try ?
Front Turn Signals Lens Honda | eBay

Here's one with indicator lenses and headlight covers
http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/customers....c0.m270.l1313

I found a guy in the UK selling smoked lenses for the 1000F but his prices are stupid - 67 pounds for a pair
No way I'll pay that !

FWIW
