omg that is amazing stynk, easily the the most worn sprocket I've ever seen. You're right, goes perfectly with visible tire threads...

 

Glad you made it out ok Havoc, pity you didnt have any frame sliders on the Busa, woulda saved the bike skins.

All that wear and you've never done a burnout? Strange, maybe Michelin uses a softer compound than my Sportmax, but mine wear pretty evenly all things considered. As for the sprocket, its simply inexcusable. It never ceases to amaze me how many guys ride around on tires that look like the one pictured and with chains and sprockets in this condition. I would be curious to see how many accidents out there are connected to mechancial ignorance. That guys is going tolose his chain and he'll probably end up dead if he's going over 60. People just don't seem to get that bikes are not like cars; if something goes wrong and you get a rapid blowout or lock up a wheel, your going to really be in world of trouble. THis one guy I knew would ride around on the steel belts and I would see sparks coming off his tire and he scooted around turns. He thought nothing of it and needless to say he is not riding anymore. Seems that his mechainical laziness carried over into his oil change habits and he locked up the engine on his 07 GSXR 750 with only 3K on the clock. He is lucky it happened in his driveway.

 

Yeah I agree with you Fighter; no compromise when comes to safety. I went a few hundred kilometers by my car just to get a replacement tire and do not dare to touch the bike till I changed the tire recently. I would say that bridgestone 014 is a supersoft tire and very much inclined to track usage.
