Default CBR900 92 Petcock leak repair or vacuum conversion?

Hi all
Am in the process of restoring a '92 Blade and it's nearly complete. Found a stinger in the tail though when I fitted the tank and the petcock leaked on the seam of the riveted plate.😣

so, 3 choices.......drill the rivets and see if I can repair it, buy a new one (VERY expensive!) or try to convert the bike to a later model vacuum petcock.

I'll have a go at the repair as it's useless as it is anyway but failing that, has anyone converted to a vacuum type? I was wondering if I could utilise the carb balance vacuum from No1 carb to connect to and operate the petcock vacuum from that?

Anyone who's done it/tried it out there who could offer any advice?

Couple of pics attached of my current junk petcock........

Whilst not exactly the same might this work?

Off a slightly earlier cbr600, might have to extend the fuel line a little but looks close and not vacuum fed.
Otherwise looks like drilling is the next option.

Thanks, but I wouldn't use Chinese parts on any of my bikes. It would be OEM if I'd needed one.

Problem Is now fixed

Ni worries, great that you have sorted it.
What did you do in the end.?

Drilled the rivets and tapped the holes, eased out the old oddly shaped O ring and reconditioned and re plumped it in warm olive oil.

Refitted it and helped it out by seating it in a thin smear of Hylomar Blue.

Screwed it together and it seals perfectly.

Job done!
