CBR 900 Can't Figure It Out

Alright
I bought a 98 CBR 900 RR that was in great shape and has really low mileage. Like only 5200 miles. The previous owner is the type of person that would never have the guts to run the bike to its full potential. Well the bike sat for like 3 yrs. So when I bought it, I had to buy a new battery. It started almost immediatly. But Could tell from the sound of it that the carbs were plugged some where. So I took it to the nearest honda dealer and had the fluids changed, the fork seals changed, 2 new tires put on and the carbs taken apart twice. Before I took it to them it sounded like it was runnig on three cylinders but never missed on the low end. At wide open throttle it screamed like a bat out of hell. Alot of power. After the honda dealer working on it, this thing pops, misses, and spits every where except idle. It kinda runs like a ninja 250. They did a cylinder leak down test and compression is fine. Changed air cleaner and redid carbs a third time. Changed all sprak plugs and Plug wires. They checked the ingnition trigger. The next thing they want to do is change the ignition control module. Spraying down the exhaust pipes found that #1 and #4 are different temp than #2 and #3. So it does sound like and ignition problem but unsure what could be. Coils checked out fine. This is all I know so far. I don't know much about bikes but have worked on cars all my life. My thing is I understand that troubleshooting is a pain sometimes and don't blame the people working on the bike. Just wondering if anyone has an idea of what could be wrong before I spend $400 on a control module.

Ok they change the control module and it didn't change a thang also tried changing screen in tank and the rectifier. All did nothing. I am still looking for any other suggestions. My advice to the guys at honda was some how or another I think its the carbs. They worked on them and it magnafied the problem. They don't think so but rule of thumb is to go back to what you did before the problem started. We'll see.

you could try spraying wd40 around the carb rubbers where the cards mate to the engine some times when a bike has been stood for a while the rubbers perish. the wd40 somethings seals the rubbers and stops an air leakage as the wd40 drys out the problem reoccurs so you know its the rubbers. its worth a try.
