Buying a 99 CBR900RR.. Your Opinion is Highly Appreciated

For what it's worth...bought my 99 900rr about a year and a half ago...$3600 and I had to ship it...great shape, power commander, two bros. carbon pipe, and some other cool stuff and 13,000 on the clock....I agree with what was said above...I love my bike...but hold out for one with FI...hope this helps.

I don't have anything against my carbed '93 900rr, in fact I love the way it sounds.
Like a beast, about to strike, esp at idle when it's growling.
When you twist throttle in 1st, it's whooooooooop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a 97 900RR that I traded a 91F2 and an 87 5.0 mustang for, sure sounds a little high but the bike was a little rough, and the mustang needs a lot of work as it was a project car. I feel like I have about 3k in actual value tied into my 900, and if I haf it to do over again I'd do it with even less hesitation, the 900 had 22k on the clock. If I had 3k in cash to buy a decent 900 I personally would go for it. The 900RR is a hard bike to find in middle of the road shape. Most around here are ruined by badd mods, or are in perfect low mileage shape and upwards of 5k in price
