Default Buying a 99 CBR900RR.. Your Opinion is Highly Appreciated

Hi guys,

Thank you first of all for reading my thread...

Now, I found a nice bike, but it has 44000 kms on it, plus it was droped and the right fairing is slighly affected... It has a Yoshimora slip on.... It sounds good.. but I'm not sure if the price is good.. and whether the bike is recommended or not. He is asking for $3100.

Thanks again for your immediate response.

hey, the price does sound a little over the top. i recently paid around $2700 for a "97 that had done 50k to give you an idea. this was in new zealand and i imagine blades are a little more common where you are makin the market a bit cheaper. hope this helps

I paid about 3100 for my 96 this year. It was in great condition though.

Kelly BB says it's worth 3900 NADA says its low value is 2100 high value is 2900for my bike.

So I would BB it then NADA value it.

Take into account the damage and what not. but if it's close to the Low value on NADA I'd say go for it.

Sounds high to me.

My '93 900rr had about 23,000 miles on the clock and it had been down on both sides but is still in very good shape and has stock colors.

$2200

I would probably try to negotiate down by at least a few hundred dollars. Not sure of the condition of the bike but $2500 might be a good starting point so that you could meet in the middle (~$2700) after he counters you offer. Just a thought. Good luck.

For what it's worth...bought my 99 900rr about a year and a half ago...$3600 and I had to ship it...great shape, power commander, two bros. carbon pipe, and some other cool stuff and 13,000 on the clock....I agree with what was said above...I love my bike...but hold out for one with FI...hope this helps.
