Default Building a higher power CBR900RR

My CBR900RR has been feeling down in the dirt a little bit. The headgasket is leaking currently, so it needs to be freshened with new gaskets and everything. It has 25,000 miles on it right now, As for mods right now I have it jetted, full 2Bros CF exhaust, K&N, and the bike is on as much of a diet as it can be.

I want to build something more radical. Including larger pistons (atleast a 945 maybe 997 JE or Weisco pistons), different cams (definately more aggressive), different valves and springs/retainers, I want to know what some common builds are for these bikes. I haven't really gotten into it too much yet, but I will need a good machine shop to do some of the work along with a good parts suppliers. Please throw me some advice about doing this, including things to do and not to do along with parts that I should stay away from. Thanks!

Please don't forget of the safety as well. People always tend to give a second look on the importance of upgrading the braking and suspension system to match the power of the machine.
