RE: Best way to repaint wheels?
I bought an extra set of wheels and had them powdercoated white. They came out great in my opinion and seem to resist chipping and scraping better than the factory painted ones do. I would not hesitate to powder coat them again if they ever get to that point.

RE: Best way to repaint wheels?
It cost me $150 for both, but that is because it is a new shop and they are trying to build up business. I have heard that it usually costs more than that. Maybe someone else can chime in on the cost so we you can get an idea of the variances. I bought the extra set simply because I wanted to keep the original black set as well. If I was going to stay with the same color, I would have had the originals powdercoated. I wanted to keep the originals in case I ever sell.
I know which one I like the best, the Red/White/Blue original color scheme. You have an awesome bike!!!

I did the same, took the tires off, sprayed them with aircraft paint remover, watch the paint chip off (this will take several coats) then clean them up & a buddy of mine powercoated them for me for free. So I don't know how much it would usually cost, probably close to $200, but they don't have a mark on them after this whole summer so it seems to be a great investment!
