Default Any ideas on what to do with my 93 900RR

Hey guys. I am new to this whole scene and was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what I should do with my bike. I just recently purchased a 93 900RR and unfortunately it needs its share of work. The bike needs a new upper fairing along with the windshield, mirrors and mirror stay. Also I had my key break inside the ignition, but I am going to purchase a whole new set on eBay for around fifty bucks. I have experienced trouble in finding quality parts for this bike at a bargain rate. I have read before that it is possible to purchase fairings from other year 900's that should fit right on. Is this true and what years? Another idea had was to do the whole naked streetfighter look which looks and sounds awesome. So I would like to hear what you guys have to say because it seems like you guys know your 900's. Thanks and hopefully I will be posting pics of my bike real soon.

I looked at your bike and I have to admit it looks good with that body on it. Where did you find these parts and let me know more about the taillight section you are talking about.

Hello and welcome dude!! Most of the plastics parts from different years can't be directly fit into your bike. It needs some modifications though.
If you had decided to go for a naked look, then you don need much plastics. Try to acess the damage and maybe you can repair it too.
Hows the engine condition then?

Mechanically the bike is superb when I did have the key. Just a tune up and I will be straight. But the front fairing without a doubt needs to be replaced and the rear side fairings can be repaired easily but I do not like the tail on the bike. Also if anyone knows where I can get the throttle and left peg that would be greatly appreciated.

I would like not to do the whole naked look but finding these parts is very difficult and if anybody knows where or who has these parts, that would be awesome.

Streetfighter that bitch! 900RR is one of the best chassis to modify, so many options.Check out custom fighters on line for all the info you will need to make your own fighter. Great group of guys and bikes that will blow your mind.Right now, I'm into the bobber look.. She's almost finished.
