If you were running 9.50's in the quarter you would be more like 145-155mph through the traps. That would put your 1/8th milemph around 120ish. There isnt a bike around tacking on another 20-30mph in 1.5 seconds that is street legal anyway. I wouldnt say that 120 in 8seconds is too far off. That would put you at around 133 or so in the quarter at 10.75 or so. Sounds pretty reasonable to me really.

 

06 cbr600RR 155 didnt take long (8 secs or less),
06 cbr1000rr 153 took less like maybe .005 seconds.

 

600rr-- 8 seconds.. 155.. id ont think so after 140 on a 600rr it goes pretty slow...141......142........143............

 

How did we get on the subject of a 600RR going to 140 in 8seconds? Either way, no matter, very few stock bikes are getting to 120 in 8 seconds. I suppose most new liter bikes will do that but honestly, in the 6-8second range....not so much.
This is ridiculous........go to a drag strip and find out. Sorry, this is just a bunch of arbitrary number people are throwing out on the internet.

I've got a 94 and with a horrible start(track sticky and had to pull the clutch in to keep from killin the bike) I ran a 11.21 @ 121 mph. Two brothers pipe and jetted. On the interstate is another thing, at least 155 side by side racing my brother on his 96.
