Default 98 900rr questions from perspective buyer.

Hey I found a really clean 98 900rr with 5000 miles and its totally stock, I wanna get it piped right away, so I was wondering if its carbed or FI. If its carbed will it run ok with a slip on with the stock jets? I dont have too much money I wanna throw at it right away.

It should be a carb bike.
And it doesn't matter if the bike is FI or Carb, you will run lean if you don't adjust for the new exhaust. You will be rejetting or burning up a motor.

I have a 98 and its carb, 2 brother slip on, k/n air filter, and its getted. Once you change the air filter or exhaust you shoud rejet or it may not run the same.

Fuel injection was on the CBR929/954, the other CBR9 models are all have carbonmakers (carburators)
