Has anyone successfully done a 530 conversion on their 900RR?

You mean a 520 conversion? And yes I have. I didnt have it long enough after to know how long it will last but I put around 8K on it with the -1/520 kit on it and it didnt wear noticably at all. It does in fact save some weight. Go for it.

I did the 520 conversion with the -1/+2.
DO NOT USE VORTEX SPROCKETS!!!
They wear really really fast.

I have the -1 kit in 520 and it works fine. I also have the vortex sprocket and I have 20,000 miles on it with no problems

I did a Renthal 530 conversion 15-44. Nothin crazy worked good. Actually changing back to 520 15-45. Its Vortex tho

I had 10k on the Vortex set I had with no signs of wearing after several track days, countless wheelies, and a lot of road time. Just my experience with them.

I changed to a vortex b/c i wanted a 15-45. I got one of those gold chain x-w ring kits ( or somethin like that) and it will hold up just as good as a 530. I still have the front and rear 530 renthal 15-44 . If u think u can find a chain I'd be happy to send pics of the sprockets if u want to buy them. However i dont know how old they are. just LMK
