I have a 07 CBR and it wont shift into first. Meaning after pressing in the clutch and shifting into first the engine stalls, like the clutch isnt engaging. I tried moving it,shifting through all the gears, making sure the clutch cable wasnt loose. I turned the engine off shift it into first, moved the bike gear was engaged, pressed the clutch gear released (bike moved). So is it the clutch or something else?

Disregard, i'm a newb. The kick stand was down when I was messing around with it.

i thought it was the kick stand swich any ways. haha i did that when i first got my bike took me two days to figure it out i guess i should have read the manuel first lol

Bahahaha I do that almost everyday granted I know what the reasoning was but I forget the bike holding rod at least once a day.. when weather allows me to ride

 

I did the exact same thing. Had to call a buddy. Felt really dumb.

 

Don't feel bad bro - when I first got Isabelle the second time I rode her I did this for 10 minutes. IN FRONT OF PEOPLE.
And she wasn't even my first bike.

Couldn't for the life of me figure out what was happening. I was messing around with the clutch / the shifter / everything.
