wow, I really cant beleive that I just got my bike back from it 600 mile check up service and that was not attached to my bike. I am really new to learning the parts so what does that part do because my brakes work fine

 

That is the only wire that goes to the brake pedal, I assume it has to be the wire for the brake light. Anyways, it's an 05... take it back to the shop. Just be careful that they don't drop it and make a note of your odometer reading. We have a guy on here that just got his bike back from the Honda shop and they did over $1500 worth of damage. Read you mileage so you can tell if they rode it any.

I also believe it is for the brake. When I just put my Yoshi slip on in I had to take that off. Just a wire of some kind that has to do with the brake. They must have taken it off and forgot. Hopefully they didn't forget something else.......
