Why Doesn't Honda Just Calibrate Right?

RE: hmmmmm
bike speedo's are off from the factory. every factory. even with stock gearing. that's just the way that it is and i have no excuses why. all speedo's read high, usually somewhere between 3% and 10%. the stock reading is probably "close enough" to not worry about needing a speedohealer. besides, it reads a little high so a speeding ticket will be totally your fault. i installed a speedohealer after my gearing change and programmed it to read the same as my gps.

not trying to be a grammar dork, but "intensive purposes" is really "intents and purposes." The rest of your answer was great

For all intensive purposes your speedometer is correct unless you have changed your sprockets or tire sizes.
Your computer has no way of knowing how you have changed your drive train ratios. It is only calibrated for the stock RPM's and sprocket sizes. The speedo healer is not really necessary if you have not changed your sprocket ratios or tire sizes.
