Default when to replace chain???

i have been running -1/+2 with my stock chain for quite some time now, not sure how manny miles but theres almost 9000 miles on the stock chain total. the bike had 2000 miles on it when i bought it, im not sure how the last guy rode it but i ring its neck almost every day.

i dont think the little chain wear indicator on the swing arm is acurite when youve changed gears.

what are some visual indicators of chain wear, i hear about people stretching chains but have never seen one.

do i wait till istart to wear out sprockets fast. Ive never had to change theme because of wear. changed to -1/+2 and havent touched them sence, but i do lube my chain religously.

any thoughts?

have you adjusted your chain lately? if/when you adjust it and it's as far back as it goes... and there's still too much slack... then the chain's stretched - replace it. or if there are kinks - replace it.

like cbr04 said, look at the adjustment lines in the swingarm and look and see what it says, more then likely it could use a new chain, luckily they arn't to expensive and very easy to chance, so take a look and when u get some extra cash change it out, dont want a loose or ****ty chain when your going 80 mph
