I'm looking to buy a 600, and I came across this on CL.

03 CBR 600rr - Very Low Miles!!

What do you guys think? It's only got just under 4k miles on it. Still seems pretty high priced to me, but I'm no expert so I'd like to know your opinions.

 

Yeah I would think that is a little high especially since he admits its been down. If I were you I would go check it out and look at the damage. If it really is noticeable I would see if he would take $4K. If the bike is clean and only has 4K miles on it then I don't think $4k is a bad price.

 

Are there any common problems with these bikes that I should know about ahead of time? You know, just to check when I get there.

 

I also think the price is too high. You should be able to find a '07 or '08 with that level of miles for $5k. Earlier this summer, I paid $6k for my '08 with 1k miles on it.

There have been 3 generations of the RR since it came out in '03 and the '09's and up have seen minor upgrades and styling changes since this current generation came out in '07.

I would suggest you do a search on the forum but from my understanding, these bikes when maintained well are very solid.
