Fair point.
A mate is going to tig the crack in the casing for me, but said take the engine out so he can have it upside down. any reason I cant just flip it as it is? I thinking a couple of stands would be easier to make than dropping the engine out.. Oil and water need dropping out either way obv.

Can you take out the rear wheel in this picture to rotate the bike a bit more on the ABBA stand, so he can get at the weld?

I did think about making an Abba stand but four foot long so the bike can rotate.... The problem is I need to take it to the welder not bring the welder to the bike. As it is, it's a swine to move but I could make a dolly with big castors on it to move it inverted.

Easiest way would be take the engine out , in the boot of the car, either way the fluids have got to come out, plus their nice little engines

Yeah, but I've just change the engine in my Transit and I'm a trying to avoid taking any more engines out for a bit.

Nice! It has been smeared with some sort of instant metal already, I'm sure they have their uses but I'm not a fan .

Its not dead any more.. Pump kit arrived this morning, its in and the bike runs sweet as a nut. Throttle's a bit stiff but apart from that, jobs a good 'un.
