Thats wierd, hows the tape gonna protect the bulb ? Either way, not a big deal. It is what it is..... ( the rules that is )

If you where to crash, you could break your headlights leaving glass and plastic fragmints on the track. The tape will help keep your headlights together. All though if you do down there will be debris anyway.

Right, but we're talking about either plastic lens headlights or turn signals having to be taped. I totally understand taping a glass lens.

Plastic shatters too. the tape acts like a laminate and helps retain fragments.

hehehe...I had those pre-cut ones on my last trackday...
just use the painters tape...cheaper...
If you have to have 'em...I'll find out for you from my buddy...

What I meant with the whole "glass bulb" theory is this........

Your plastic headlight lens shatters, and so does your light bulb inside. Now there are small plastic shards with VERY small glass shards all over the track. By taping up the lens, it keeps the lens from coming apart, therefore keeping glass particles inside the headlight too.

Think of it like a windshield on a car. There is a piece of plastic between the glass to "hold" the glass pieces together to keep it from shattering all over the place. Same principle can be applied for tape over the lens.

all depends on who's hosting the trackday...some doesn't even care about the coolants...

who cares, just use duct or whatever you can find. goo gone takes that **** off in two seconds. it's in the paint isle at your local home improvement store.(eg. home depot, etc..)
