Default Throttle Control

Am I the only one who has difficulty smoothly getting on the throttle when cornering? It is tough to be smooth when being completely off the throttle and then getting back on it without feathering the clutch.

Any thoughts? How did you fix it?

Adjust any slack out of the throttle.

And don't get completely out of the throttle going into a turn.

I just had a conversation like this with some of the guys I ride with. I just went on my first group ride since buying the CBR and had been used to riding through the twisties in second gear on my Katana 600. However after about 1/2 of the way through the group ride on the 07 RR, it was extremely jerky in second, simply too much power through tight twisties, had to go to 3rd through the twisties and it was much better. If your going to power through the twisties in second I think its better to go into the turn giving throttle and you have to continue to give throttle all the way through to be smooth or your going to jerk either in the turn or right after when you gun it out of the turn. just my 2 cents.

to the HRC throttle
then you wont have to move your hand as much (causing jerkiness) to get the rpms up

use a little maintenance throttle during the corner, usually a very small amount of throttle will be enough to counteract whats left of the engine braking while tipping into a corner and makes it much less jerky when you begin applying throttle for the exit
now if your in too high of a gear and have no engine resistance (not really engine braking at that point, just a little resistance) then giving it that little bit of throttle may actually cause the bike to accelerate which isn't great if you've already set your cornerspeed

Also check your chain tension. I know it sounds elementary, but it'll definitely show up in the corners when you're trying to "ease into" the throttle.

you shouldn't have to be feathering the clutch unless it's parking lot speed...
I found that on RRs are more stable on higher RPMs...I used average about 10k RPM...
