i just junked a bridgestone with 300 miles on it because of a nail. i agree with all who stated that they dont trust it to hold air. a blow out in a car makes you pull to one side. a blow out on a bike pulls your *** to the pavement.

LOL! You guys make it seem like I'm a crazy wammer jammer!!!

I've been riding street since 1984 and haven't had a blow out yet...Rhetorical question: How many people do you know that have had a blow out because of a patched tire?

not saying that you're crazy fretless. ive personally considered the risks and chosen not to run repaired tires. i do not know how to patch tires and i don't trust the strangers working at tire shops and the dealerships usually have the shop workers with the least experience doing "minor" jobs like changing tires and such. if i knew how to do it right, i would patch my own tires and have no problem with using them.

as far as blow outs on cars, never happened. but it also seems that every car tire that i have repaired develops a slow leak that never goes away. but thats probably the fault of the guy who installed the patch, not the patch itself.

patching a tire is EASY go to a automotive place and buy it you just stick it in the tire pull it out and squish it down I have run paatched tires before but not for very long usualy just until I get a new one then I blow it off :-) but I drive like a Idiot most of the time so I like to make sure my Bike is running good no loose ends :-)

Those are the worst kind of patches to use on a motorcycle...If you patch a tire, use only an umbrella patch!
