Default Temperature Rising

I wondering what the average temperature a bike (07 cbr600rr) should be at after an hour of riding. Mine starts out at about 90+ to 130 and when I am done at the end it is at 190+ to 230. I think Farenheit.

Is 190+ to 230F too high?

Ridden only 3x since OTD from dealer.

I'm thinking it's partly because of my rotten, sloppy shifting too.

In the summer months, 230 is usually normal when in stop and go traffic. When you are at speed (55-60 mph.....on a very hot day) the temp should be right around 180-195.

I think the manual says damage will start occurring at 265 (when the temp starts flashing) You (having a much better cooling system on the 07 compared to my 06) should only get worried once it hits more than 240. That's when I would pull over and let it cool down.

I was thinking my temperature was kinda high when i first got my bike, it was like 220 in town. but once i am on a country road with no stops it cools to around 180, even when i am hauling *** and getting the revs way up the temp stays down. the faster you go the better it cools, so if your bike is getting hot just go fast with out stoping. (if traffic and lights allow you to) and it will cool off very quik.
